One of the things that occupies the minds of many tourists is the reason for naming this sightseeing place in Mashhad. But from a deeper and more historical perspective, it should be said that some people believe that in this area, there is an invisible creature that sits on the chest at night and makes breathing difficult. This legendary belief has caused many people to feel uneasy during the nights in this beautiful area.

In Iranian culture, Al is a creature that sits on a sleeping person’s chest at night and prevents movement. Al is known as a kind of goblin.
